Prayer

                      Jesus stated in Matthew 9:37-38 that “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the                         Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” God the Father, the Lord of the Harvest, is waiting                         for us to ask Him send send forth workers into His harvest. When we pray such a prayer, we are praying the will of the Lord of the harvest. It is His harvest and we are simply cooperating. The Lord of the harvest never ceases to respond to this prayer. In the SABA office we have seen repeatedly God respond as we prayed. This Jesus inspired prayer is our default step to working in a "sending environment."

SABA works with churches to implement a Matthew 9:37-38 prayer strategy into their DNA as a sending church. Such focused praying must be a multi-level approach such as: regularly from the pulpit; in every small groups (SS classes, etc), praying in the hallways asking God to call out His people; special prayer events, etc. A sending church makes sure there is an alignment of purpose, processes, discussion, activities, celebration, etc., all focused on enhancing the identification of those whom God is calling.

Identify

                    SABA works with churches to create an identification process within their DNA. Creating such processes takes                      time and must be deeply embedded within the DNA of a sending church. If a church does not have a DNA of                        sending out its people, the church must be flexible enough to create one. In this evaluation process, a church's current overall structures and practices are considered for the purpose of making adjustments to better identify those God is calling. A variety of sending activities are regularly offered as God's people his calling on their lives. A sending church is consistently involved in encouraging God's people be becoming involved in His sending activities. There must be an alignment between the desired outcome of identifying those that God is calling and actually creating the processes to do just that.

As several churches collaborate in the identification process, God's people from various congregations are able to interact with other believers to help sharpen their personal understanding of God's call on their lives.

Clarify

                   When those called by God are involved in sent out activities, they not only sharpen their ministry skills but God                      is able to better clarify specific ministry callings. SABA has seen this process of sharpening of focus and self-                      understanding many, many times. Proverbs 27:17 reminds us that "Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another." When multiple churches collaborate together to provide peer-learning cohorts as well as joint sending activities, everyone benefits. Such an approach to collaborative equipping allows churches of all sizes to participate in the process. Training cohorts can form around church starting, church renewal, church replanting, mission and/or ministry teams (not everything is missions), and other sent out activities. It is a win-win proposition when collaboration takes place.

Launch

                    As churches of all sizes collaborate with each other, there is greater opportunity for increased and continued                        success. God's Kingdom is strengthened in a variety of ways when multiple churches join forces around sent                out activities such as food insecurity, homeless ministries, compassion-based ministries, local public school ministries, church starting, church renewal, church replanting, mission and/or ministry teams (not everything is missions), and other sent out activities.

Collaborative sending allows for Propel to connect such efforts to sending agencies that provide assessments, funding, as well as on-going training. Such Great Commission partners are local, state, national, and international. Such Great Commission partners include state conventions, the North American Mission Board, the International Mission Board, and other sending agencies. These connections only increase the possibilities for broadened collaboration and training opportunities. Propel does not seek to duplicate resources, training, etc. but to partner for extended benefit for all involved.

Support

                   As churches of all sizes collaborate with each other, there is a greater opportunity for increased and continued                      success. This is also true when it comes to ongoing support of sending endeavors. Sending churches have in                   their DNA the component of continuously supporting whomever they send. At times they partner with other churches and Great Commission organizations to supply what is needed for the combined effort. The types of resources vary for each sending endeavor, which allows each church to invest whatever they can at the appropriate level needed. Some resources include finances, training, volunteers, prayer walking, and other types of assistance. Propel helps in creating the necessary connections to form multiple partners and relationships for support. Such collaboration is needed in order for us to saturate the SA Metroplex and beyond with the Gospel message (1 corinthians 15:1-4).

Duplicate

                 Propel seeks to repeat this process over and over. This is not a one and down proposal. We need to replicate                           sending structures and cooperation opportunities endlessly if the SA Metroplex and beyond is saturated with                       the Gospel message (1 corinthians 15:1-4).
